Sounding Naarm Melbourne – A duet with the wind down under at MPavilion Parkville
Event description
Members of Etan Creative Vision Art Studio from Taiwan will meet Naarm-based artist Jen Valender at MPavilion to harmonise their instruments to the wind. Drop in to hear the Aeolian harp, the lalingedan double-pipe nose and mouth bamboo flutes, and pakulalu single pipe mouth flute.
Through harmonising their respective instruments, musicians will be looking to find what Naarm may sound like.
Public performance: 9 October, 1 pm. Followed by panel discussion: 1.30–2.30pm.

The artists will be in residence at MPavilion Parkville from Monday 7 to Thursday 10 October. Stroll down any time between 11am and 3 pm during this week to listen to a jam session, have a yarn and find out more about the project.
