David Jones – Celestial Rhythms

Australian virtuoso drummer and percussionist David Jones transforms the drum kit into a universe of textures and sound. Described as a “wizard weaving spells,” he conjures rhythmic landscapes that carry you through emotional and spiritual dimensions. His artistry spans jazz, ambient, classical, world music, and meditation realms. David is celebrated for his musicality, innovation, and the “whisper to roar” dynamics of his playing. He has garnered major acclaim - including the Melbourne Prize for Music - and travelled internationally as a soloist and collaborator.

“We’re offering more than a concert—it’s a gentle invitation to pause, listen, and allow peaceful sound to ripple through us all, says Carmen Warrington. “Together with our audience, and the lovely team at Byron Theatre, we will co-create a special atmosphere that is powerful, and transformative. We hope this evening resonates as a balm for heart and spirit.”
