    About Tom

Tom has been leading and facilitating drumming workshops in school, businesses

and the community for nearly 20 years when he first picked up a ukulele. His love of

guitar playing ended that day as the ukulele took over.

Workshops have taken Tom to Hong Kong, Dubai, Switzerland, Portugal and all over England as well as NSW, Victoria and Queensland.

He has led workshops at The Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival, The Newcastle

Ukulele Festival, Melbourne Ukulele Festival, Launceston Ukulele Muster and the Wollongong Springstrum and more including Night Dinner of the BMUF, which is an accolade.

He is also the band leader of Samba Ninja, a batucada and Afro-Brazilian drum ensemble which has played NRL games, Mardi Gras and countless festival and events. Tom is the Vice President of AUTLA, The Australian Ukulele Leaders’ and Teachers Association.

    About the Blue MUGs

We are grateful that The Blue MUGs are also supporting this concert and will also present some of their material in the concert.  The Blue MUGs are a bunch of great people of different ages and from different backgrounds, who meet to play ukulele, sing together and enjoy each other’s company. They aim to bring the joy of playing the ukulele to as many people as possible and promote playing community music.  Check out the Website or FB page for more information.
