If you’ve shopped with us at Como, chances are you’ve been served by the always-smiling Hugo. Hugo hails from Brazil, and he’s been itching to share the flavours of home with you. So this December, we’re handing him the keys and throwing a South American Sunday!

Picture this: it’s the first Sunday of summer, the smell of the grill and picanha sizzling away. A glass of plush Argentinian Malbec in one hand and a golden coxinha in the other. Taste your way from the high-altitude vineyards of Argentina to the sun-soaked valleys of Chile, with a few Aussie takes on classic South American varietals like Malbec and Carménère along the way.

And or try some iconic Brazilian beer, or a little splash of cachaça for the brave. Add in all the laid-back Old Bridge Sunday Funday vibes you know and love, and you’ve got yourselves a festa.

Cooking up a storm on the day is Brazilian food truck Uai Mate, specialists in proper Brazilian BBQ and the much-loved street snack, coxinha: crispy, golden and stuffed with chicken. And because no Brazilian party is complete without something cheesy and then something sweet, we’ve also got:

• Cheese Puff King with a tasting table of their Brazilian classic: reimagined.

• Pam de Ló Sweets with her iconic cake pots.

• A selection of South American supermarket snacks.
