South Coast Volunteer Workforce Forum
Description
Struggling to attract and retain volunteers? You’re not alone.
Join us for a practical forum bringing together organisations across the South Coast to share what’s working, and what’s not, when it comes to building a strong volunteer workforce.
Hosted by Community Industry Group and Eurobodalla Shire Council, this forum is designed for not-for-profit and community organisations that engage volunteers and want to strengthen how they attract, recruit, support and retain their volunteer workforce.
It is particularly relevant for managers, coordinators, team leaders, and staff responsible for programs where volunteers play a critical role in service delivery.
What you’ll gain
Through a mix of local insights, shared experiences and practical tools, participants will explore:
Proven strategies to improve volunteer attraction, recruitment, onboarding and retention

Co-design approaches to develop locally relevant solutions to shared issues
Ways to strengthen onboarding and induction, including role clarity and volunteer experience
Practical tools and templates to support effective volunteer management (e.g. role descriptions, onboarding checklists, messaging)
Opportunities to connect and collaborate with others across the region
