2024 South Island Championships 10-13 July and 2024 South Island Rapid Championships 14 July 2024 – thanks to Kiwi Gaming Foundation and chess ventures (www.chessventures.co.nz) for their sponsorship and support.

Championship: 8 rounds over 4 days, round times of 9am and 2:30pm. Swiss pairings, Time control 90mins + 30s/move.

Rapid: 6 rounds in 1 day, Swiss pairings, Time control 25mins + 5s/move.
