From Here to Home: Empowering Youth, Strengthening Community, Building Inclusive Peace

The South Sudan Forum was inaugurated three years ago by the University of Western Australia. In 2024 the Universities of Western Australia and Melbourne agreed to create a national forum through co-convening the South Sudan Forum. 

In 2025 the Forum will be hosted at the University of Melbourne in partnership with the South Sudanese Community Association of Victoria.

The forum will focus on highlighting the critical role Australian South Sudanese professionals, community leaders and peacebuilders have in supporting longer-term development and peace, both from within their communities in Australia and for political development and social development in South Sudan.

When: Saturday 6 December

The forum will take place from 10am-4pm, followed by a reception from 4pm-6pm.
