South-West Brisbane Greens Movie Night

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This is our monthly movie night for the South-West Brisbane Greens.

This month we are watching the documentary "The Dark Emu Story" (blurb below).

The event will be at the Oxley Bowls Club (24A Englefield Road, Oxley, which is wheelchair accessible), the bar will be open for drinks and we'll be ordering pizzas (or similar).

The event is a 'pay what you can afford' event, so there is no entry fee, but you can make a contribution through the link which will help cover the cost of hiring the room, paying for pizza, and if there is any money left over after that it will go towards supporting branch campaigns and activities in the future. Feel free to bring friends/family along (including kids if you think they're old enough to be interested in the documentary)

Film Blurb: "A thought-provoking documentary that charts the impact of Bruce Pascoe's Dark Emu - the book that challenged Australia to rethink its history and ignited a debate that continues to rage."
