Join the CIBD Southern Section for a guided walking tour exploring Southwark’s brewing heritage.

Starting from Southwark Bridge, the tour will continue through Southwark and onwards towards the start of the Bermondsey Beer Mile. Along the way, Ken Smith of the Brewery History Society will provide expert commentary on the area’s brewing history and the heritage that can still be seen today.

Established in 1886, we are the world's leading professional body for brewers, distillers and allied professionals. This was recognised by the grant of the Royal Charter in 2023, which has led to us transitioning to the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers (CIBD) on 1st January 2025.
