Sowing, Mowing and Growing: an overview of South Australian gardens from colonisation to the 1930s
State Library of South Australia - Hetzel Lecture Theatre, Institute Building
adelaide, australia
Event description
Join us for this month's Live and Learn talk.
Learn more about how British growing and landscaping practices influenced the newly arrived first colonists to South Australia. As newer fashions in garden design emerged, nurseries provided advice along with seedlings. Home gardeners proudly grew flowers as well as food. Gardens became a space for rest and recreation.
