Event description

How delicious is fresh Japanese! There's such attention to detail of flavour, texture, colour, and aroma. While requiring an attention to details, Japanese cooking doesn't need to be too complicated to be both incredibly tasty and healthy.

In this class, our teacher Naoko in Kanazawa, Japan, will be demonstrating how to prepare a warming soymeat cutlet curry with lots of vegetables - perfect for Melbourne's Winter. It's a simple recipe with delicious results.

This class welcomes absolute beginners.

Check out the ingredient list handout in the Virtual Event Hub of your e-ticket prior to class to have everything on hand for class time.

What we will cover?

In this online cooking lesson we will:

  • Gain an introduction to Japanese food and its preparation

  • Learn about Japanese pantry staples

  • Follow along with Naoko to prepare a vegetarian Soymeat Cutlet Curry

  • Learn about local suppliers

What will you need?

A list of ingredients will be included in the Virtual Event Hub with ticket purchase. The dried soy beans need soaking for more than 24hrs so please check the virtual handout ahead of time.

Please contact us if you have questions about substitutions or dietary requirements.
