The second Space Brains Sci-Fi Film Festival, an international science fiction film festival, will take place Saturday 17th June 2023 in the beautiful coastal town of Mandurah, Western Australia.

The festival includes:

🦋 Creative Workshops 

  • Podcasting workshop run by Space Brains who have created 98 podcast episodes and counting.  
  • Award winning writer Stephen Dedman will be teaching a two hour practical writing workshop.
  • A keynote speech by sci-fi feature filmmaker, Luke Sparke (Occupation Series can be found on Netflix). 

👠 Walk the Red Carpet, have your photo taken and network with actors and filmmakers. 

🍿 Cutting Edge Sci-Fi Films - Two hour screening of the latest short sci-fi films sourced locally and from the entire galaxy. 

Please Note - films are independently made and do not have a age classification.  Some films will contain adult content.  All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.  Viewing films is at the discretion of the ticket holder.

Further Information

The Space Brains Sci-Fi Film Festival is a competition for independent science fiction filmmakers to highlight their films and talents. The festival draws particular focus on the work of regional Western Australian filmmakers to help give them a platform to speak about their projects.
