Movimiento y Naturaleza - Spanish & Movement for Kids

These classes offer a playful, creative and interactive environment where children learn Spanish naturally — through music, games, storytelling and movement. The intention is to create a warm, inclusive and encouraging space where children feel safe to explore a new language, express themselves freely and enjoy learning together.
No previous Spanish experience is needed.

Themes draw on the natural world — animals, weather and the elements, colours, family, and a loose journey from the mountains to the ocean — with the specific games, stories and activities also shaped by the interests of the children attending as we get to know the group.

We'd encourage children to join for as much of the program as possible, so they can build steadily on what they've learned — though joining partway through is possible too.

Activities may include:

• Spanish songs and musical games

• Movement games with vocabulary

• Arts and crafts

• Nature-based activities

• Drawing and creative projects

• Partner and group games

• Role play and simple conversations

• Dance and rhythm activities

Each two-hour session moves through a familiar rhythm — a welcome circle with greetings and a movement warm-up, games that introduce new vocabulary, creative exploration through dance, story and craft, and a calming wind-down with reflection on what's been learned.

The classes support:

• Joyful learning in a relaxed environment

Venue:  Noosa Parks Association, Wallace Drive, Noosaville — a lovely tucked-away Environment Centre next to the Noosaville Library and Leisure Centre, with its own kitchen and bathrooms.

Time:  Mondays, 10:30am – 12:30pm. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in before we begin.

Ages:  7 - 14 (we are pretty open in terms of age range however)

Program Length:  Every Monday during Term 3. We are pleased to be extending the program into Term 4 of 2026 - for 4 Monday's, from Oct 12 - Nov 2 (see calendar dates via the event).

We're running in one room at the centre, with the Earth & Ocean Storytellers project happening alongside us next door — so there'll be a friendly buzz of other kids around on the day.

Please note: if the weather is good, we may hold our session just outside the centre at times, to enjoy the ambience of being and playing outside.

Please book before attending.
Numbers are limited and we need to know who's coming each week — please secure your child's place online (even for a trial) ahead of the session, rather than attending without a booking.

Pricing:

We offer a trial class price of $30 (first class only, 1 per student)

If they want to continue after their trial, there are 2 options:

• Casual/one-off class $35

  (or bring a friend for a discount per student without the commitment)

• Commit to the remainder of the program/Term in a block = $30 per class x how many weeks are left - please contact your hosts Maddie & Gushi for this option.

A few things worth knowing:

• We'd love for children to join for as much of the Term/program as possible, so they can build steadily on what they've learned — but joining at any stage is absolutely fine too.

• If your child joins after the program has started, there may be some content, games or vocabulary they've missed. We'll do our best to help them catch up and settle in alongside the rest of the group, though this may not always be fully possible depending on timing.

• Casual/one-off pricing is intentionally a little higher — it's there for flexibility, but investing in the whole program rewards families who know they want to commit.

• Booking fees apply. We have chosen Humanitix as they donate their fees to charities. We have chosen to take payments for the class through here to reduce administrative tasks and we are open to your feedback.

Maddie Arnold — Outdoor Educator, Creative Facilitator, Artist & Yoga Teacher

Maddie has over 9 years' experience leading outdoor and movement-based experiences for people of all ages and abilities. With a deep love of nature and the belief that 'everything is art', she blends creativity, play and purpose to deepen awareness and connection — to self, others and the world around us. Maddie brings this same spirit to her own ongoing Spanish learning, and loves creating dynamic, movement-led spaces where participants can learn through doing rather than sitting still and being told.

Agustina Cora “Gushi” — Spanish Language, Movement & Cultural Facilitator

Gushi is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Argentina, now living on the Sunshine Coast. She has studied Biodanza, yoga and other movement-based approaches to human development and wellbeing, and is passionate about dance, the outdoors, play and creating meaningful connection with others. Gushi loves supporting both individuals and groups through movement, play and creativity, and creates warm, welcoming spaces where children feel safe to explore, express themselves and build confidence.

Movimiento y Naturaleza is an independent class run by Gushi and Maddie, proudly supported by Parados Education Inc. — a Noosa-based education organisation whose approach helps young people learn through meaningful relationships with place, creativity and community. Parados is generously allowing us to share their venue and run alongside their Earth & Ocean Storytellers program.

While Movimiento y Naturaleza is run independently of Parados' own programming, this shared space means our sessions take place in good company — with a creative, nature-connected community of kids and educators nearby each week.
