Event description

Do you prefer your orange juice with octopus?

Learn the difference between pulpo (orange juice pulp) and pulpa (octopus) before you make a faux pas in Central America, Spain or any country in South America (apart from Brazil). The poetic and romantic language of Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world. Learning a second language is one of the most effective ways to keep your mind sharp and buffer your brain against aging. In six weeks, you’ll be able to shop for zapatos (shoes) and order Pisto (yummy Spanish vegetable stew) in Madrid or Pinto beans in Costa Rica.

Please note: This is a 6 (six) week course of 90-minute classes. Five will be at a venue called 68 Waverley (located at 68 Waverley St, Dianella) and the final class will be Spanish conversation at a Spanish café nearby (location tbc) and will include dinner and drinks to celebrate your new language skills!

The dates are: Thursdays - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th March + 6th April 2023

* Bring pen and a notebook or paper to make notes.

This is a beginner course; however if you already have some Spanish language, Gabriela the Spanish teacher can help you expand.
