Spark To Flame - supporting youth and creativity.
We invite you to an evening of inspiration, conversation, and community as we bring together leaders in youth mental health and creativity for Spark to Flame.
We will be celebrating 25 years of WAVE, Wearable Arts Vision in Education with Shearwater, the Mullumbimby Steiner School.
There will be an exhibition of wearable art pieces over the years, a panel of youth experts, a Q&A, live music, food, and more!
This special forum is designed for parents and teens to explore the vital connection between wellbeing and creative expression, featuring an extraordinary lineup of speakers:
Jen Parke – CEO, Human Nature: Sharing how Human Nature is breaking barriers to mental health support through innovative, nature-based therapy.
Mark Robertson – Founder & Director, One Vision: A global thought leader and filmmaker transforming youth justice and education systems through creativity, film, and Indigenous empowerment.
Sim Balzar – Senior Manager, headspace Lismore: Highlighting the integrated support pathways headspace provides for young people, from counselling and GP services to music, film, and creative outlets.
Josh Rushton – Creative Director, WAVE: Offering insight into the transformative role of creativity in youth mental health, through Shearwater Steiner School’s iconic Wearable Arts Vision in Education event.
There will be a film component, live demo's of digital tools and inspirational storytelling.
Together, these speakers will spark conversations that ignite hope, connection, and creative pathways for the next generation.
