About the speakers

Chez Leggart-Cook

Chez has an undergraduate degree in Organisational Psychology and a PhD in Sociology from Massey University, New Zealand, and has been working as a researcher in service delivery environments for 14 years. She is currently employed as Research & Knowledge Translation Manager in UnitingCare's Family & Disability Services area. She supports research partnerships and projects across diverse areas including domestic and family violence, child protection, loneliness, disability and staff wellbeing. Chez is passionate about co-design and participatory methods, knowledge translation and making research accessible to end-users.

Jacob Rynne

Jacob became motivated to work in the DFV sector after witnessing the culture of gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea. Jacob spent several years working as a Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator and generalist counsellor in the Ipswich region, and recently had the opportunity to redesign parts of UnitingCare QLD's MBC program.

Michele Robinson

Michele Robinson is the Director, Evidence to Action at Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety, a role she has held since 2017. Michele has more than 20 years’ experience in building knowledge partnerships and developing strategies for the translation, application and exchange of research findings in the domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) sector. She has provided strategic advice to Government on legal, policy and cultural initiatives to prevent DFSV. This work is grounded in her experience managing the impact of changes produced by such initiatives, and bridging gaps between policy and practice, and across sectors.

Marg Stott

Marg Stott is a registered Psychologist, and Practice, Implementation and Development Advisor with OzChild. She brings years of experience in the field of Implementation Science, more specifically evidence synthesis and knowledge translation within the human services sector. Her areas of expertise include program design and development, and the implementation of quality assurance processes to embed and sustain behaviour change, including implementing evidenced based training and coaching models to support practitioners’ skill development and acquisition. Marg is a member of the Motivational Network of Trainers in the US and is highly skilled at facilitating change at both the client and organisational levels. She has presented at conferences on implementation, and recently developed a series of videos for Beyond Blue and Early Childhood Australia to support the national implementation of their ‘Be You’ program to support educators and children’s wellbeing. She is passionate about getting the evidence of ‘what works’ into the hands of practitioners to help improve the lives of children, young people and families.
