Sparks on the Spectrum - Proudly Supported by Brisbane Pride
Description
🌈 Sparks on the Spectrum ✨
A Queer Neurodivergent Connection Group
🌈 Proudly supported by Brisbane Pride
Looking for friendship, community, flirting, meaningful connection - or simply a safer space to practice social confidence?
Sparks on the Spectrum is a facilitated, sensory-friendly and trauma-informed social connection group created specifically for queer neurodivergent adults.
And thanks to the generous support of Brisbane Pride, we're thrilled to bring another Sparks gathering to our community! 🌈✨
This isn’t your typical awkward speed-dating event 😅
There’s no pressure to “find the one.” Instead, we focus on creating a warm, affirming and low-pressure environment where people can meet, connect and be themselves - at their own pace.
✨ What to expect
💛 Gentle icebreakers
🌈 Guided conversation prompts
✨ Structured connection rounds
🎨 Fidgets & sensory supports
☕ Catering, tea & coffee
🫶 Supportive facilitators & friendly faces
🎭 Laughter, community & low-pressure connection
🌈 Whether you’re looking to:
make new queer friends
explore dating in a safer and more supportive environment
build social confidence
practice communication and connection
meet potential romantic connections
or simply spend an afternoon with people who get it…
…you are so welcome here. 💛
Our facilitators Mik and Molly understand that social connection can sometimes feel overwhelming - particularly for neurodivergent people navigating traditional social and dating spaces.
Sparks is designed with care, consent, accessibility, sensory awareness and authenticity at its centre.
There’s no expectation to flirt, date, make physical contact or connect with anyone you don’t want to. Boundaries are celebrated, and our facilitators are there to offer support whenever you need it.
Whether you leave with a date, a new friend, a little more confidence, a sense of community, or simply the feeling that you belonged somewhere for an afternoon - that’s a spark worth celebrating. ✨
