Speak - Writing workshop
Event description
In this place-based writing workshop, Lia Hills, acclaimed author of The Desert Knows Her Name - a novel researched and set in the Wimmera - will share the technique of speak-writing she used to create the first draft of her novel. Together, we’ll experiment with using live storytelling to create new pieces of writing, responding to the land and more-than-human species as prompts.
This will be an engaging and safe space to experiment with language and practice deep listening. Please bring either a smart phone (we’ll be using its dictation software) or writing materials.
Please arrive 10 mins before.
The session will begin at the NC2 and continue outdoors on the Verj parkland.
