SpeakEasy 10 - Perfection
Description
Join us for SpeakEasy 10 - Perfection, a thought-provoking and entertaining speaking event exploring our complicated relationship with getting it right.
We chase it, polish for it, and quietly punish ourselves when we fall short. Perfection promises safety and approval - yet it can also stall our dreams, strain our relationships and keep our best ideas hidden. SpeakEasy 10 brings together speakers from around the world to share the moments they let go of flawless and discovered something better: progress, courage and connection.
Join us on Sunday, 1st November – in person in Sydney or free on Zoom.

Dr Nagesh Ramamurthy
Dr. Nagesh Ramamurthy is an engineer by training and a people-centric thinker by choice, with over three decades of experience spanning project management, education, leadership development, and public speaking. His professional journey began in the world of engineering and large-scale projects, where he spent many years navigating complexity, accountability, and high-stakes decision-making. Over time, this experience led him to a deeper question that now defines his work: what truly enables people and organisations to perform at their best? A TEDx speaker, author, educator, and trainer, Nagesh works at the intersection of communication, awareness, and human transformation. His talks draw from real-world leadership experience as well as reflective inquiry, offering audiences a rare blend of practical insight and quiet depth. Rather than focusing on performance alone, he invites leaders and professionals to examine presence, authenticity, and clarity as foundations for meaningful influence. Known for his calm, thoughtful, and deeply engaging speaking style, Nagesh does not deliver motivational slogans. He creates reflective spaces where ideas land gently but stay long after the talk ends. His sessions resonate with audiences navigating complexity, change, and the human challenges that sit beneath technical or organizational problems. Whether speaking to senior leaders, educators, or emerging professionals, Nagesh brings one consistent intention to the stage: to help people listen better — to themselves, to others, and to what truly matters.

Richard Crowle
Most people like to know where they’re going before they set off. Our next speaker prefers to find out along the way. Richard Crowle is an anthropologist, educator, and adventurer who has spent much of his life saying “yes”… and figuring out the details later. He’s cycled over 40,000 kilometres across more than 30 countries — he’s cycled around Australia, through south east Asia, China/Tibet via Everest Base camp and from London to Cape Town. He’s dealt with headwinds, breakdowns, questionable food choices, and moments where common sense probably should have stepped in… but didn’t. Including one night in southern Thailand, riding toward Bangkok in complete darkness… when he ‘spilt all the chocolates’ It’s these moments, where things don’t go to script, that have shaped how he thinks about risk, decision-making, and what it really takes to keep moving forward when you can’t see what’s coming next. His stories are equal parts entertaining and thought-provoking… usually with a lesson learned just after things went wrong. And after everything he’s experienced out there… He still maintains the most dangerous place he’s navigated is a Westfield car park on a Saturday afternoon before Christmas.
