Aboriginal Culture - Spear Making & Water Carriers

This session of Aboriginal Culture Club will be the first time the men and boys split off from the women and girls. 

The men and boys will work with Danny to locate the material needed to make a spear, and return to the host property to make the spear using traditional methods before practicing some spear target throwing and spear games for the younger kids. 

The women and girls will work with Bron to make water carriers (pending collection of specific kelp) - or a secondary women specific activity (you will be advised via email if this is the case). 

Traditionally these tasks were gender specific and cultural practice will be maintained for these workshops. 

Please keep an eye on emails to confirm meeting points as you may participate in collecting the materials as part of the workshop depending on the weather and property access.
