Special Olympics Mackay Fire Regional Multi Sport Event 2024

Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2024

2024 Special Olympics Mackay Fire Regional Multi Sport for registered Special Olympics athletes and Come'n'Try for adults with an intellectual disability/developmental delay/autism.  Registered Special Olympics athletes are encouraged to wear their club uniform to all events.

This is a 2024 State Games Qualifying Event in basketball, bocce, table tennis and ten pin bowling for Special Olympics athletes.

Athletes will be required to wear a shirt with minimum short sleeves, no singlets, athletic shorts, no activewear, socks and joggers plus hat for bocce.  Uniforms for basketball will be provided for athletes to take the court.

1pm 3on3 Basketball (teams formed on the day) @ PCYC Rockhampton Stapleton Park 16 Bridge Street Rockhampton City
2pm Bocce Teams (teams formed on the day) @ PCYC Rockhampton Stapleton Park 16 Bridge Street Rockhampton City 

 NO FOOD OR DRINK AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT EITHER VENUE - bring own large filled water bottle

8.30am Roll off Ten Pin singles or social singles ten pin bowling @ iPlay Rocky Bowl 100 Musgrave Street Berserker

Go to the register button and sign up for the sports in which you you wish to compete.  For registered Special Olympics Australia athletes, choose the SOA Athlete ticket and go through the questions to choose your sport/s.  For Come & Try participants, choose the Come & Try ticket to choose your sports.   You can choose more than one ticket if you are registering a group of people. 

Check out the ALL SPORTS SPECIAL OFFER for $50 which allows participation in each sport; table tennis, bocce, basketball and ten pin bowling.  A saving of $4!  Remember to click each sport in which you will be playing at checkout!

Bocce and basketball will be run so that athletes may participate in both sports on Saturday afternoon.  

Only 1 pen pin bowling ticket may be purchased.

Basketball athletes that mobilise without a wheelchair or walker may play 3on3 basketball.  Athletes that mobilise in a wheelchair or with a walker will not be able to play 3on3  basketball. 

Table tennis, bocce and ten pin athletes that mobilise using a wheelchair or walker may be accommodated; please include details in your registration.
