    Playing for All - Youth (Churchill Term 3)

    Playing for All – Youth is a games-based program for children and young adults with intellectual disability/autism aged 8-17 years old. It helps them get active, make friends and have fun while learning important life skills. 

    Playing for All sessions are delivered in a safe and supportive environment by qualified coaches who run activities that promote movement, teamwork, decision making and communication. Coaches also teach players the importance of being fit and staying healthy.

    These fun and inclusive sessions run for 60 minutes, over a term, with a break before the next term starts. 

    Duration: 60 minutes of game-based activities and instructional learning. 

    When: Mondays in term 3 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm (10/7, 17/7, 24/7, 31/7, 7/8, 14/8, 21/8, 28/8, 4/9, 11/9 - 10 sessions in total)

    Where: Churchill Leisure Centre

    Sessions include:   

    • small-sided games that allow for high involvement   
    • games with modified rules, area and equipment to promote inclusion and prompt understanding
    • Health education and social activities
