Special Olympics WA – Swimming Program – Term 4, 2025
Who:
Special Olympics is a global movement that provides sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities. Our programs focus on inclusion, building confidence, and creating opportunities for athletes to develop skills, make friends, and have fun in a supportive environment.
What:
Join us to practice swimming techniques, meet new friends, and stay active in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
This program is for people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who enjoy swimming and want to have fun while improving their skills.
Why:
To improve swimming skills, stay active, and enjoy being part of a fun and supportive community.
When:
Sessions are every Tuesday for 10 weeks
Dates: 14 October 2025 to 16 December 2025
Time: 7:15 PM (warm up), 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM (in the pool)
Where:
Craigie Leisure Centre (50m Outdoor Pool)
751 Whitfords Ave, Craigie, WA 6025
How Much:
$130 for 10 weeks ($13 per session) + booking fee.
What to Bring:
Swimsuit, towel, and goggles.
A water bottle to stay hydrated.
Any personal swim aids or equipment you typically use.
Please note, this is a swim squad training, and participants must be able to swim minimum 50m unassisted.
