Join us for the first book club of 2026!

∙ WHEN: Friday 20 February 2026, 18:30 – 19:30(AEST)

∙ WHERE: Korean Cultural Centre Australia(GF, 255 Elizabeth St. Sydney)

∙ BOOK OF THE MONTH: Art on Fire by Yun Ko-eun

∙ ABOUT THE BOOK: Art on Fire by Yun Ko-eun is a darkly comic satire of the art world. It follows artist An Yiji, whose stalled career gets a boost when she's offered a prestigious residency in California. One of her paintings must be burned at the end of the program. As she navigates eccentric patrons, awkward social dinners, creative pressure and the literal California wildfires around her, the novel hilariously and sharply skewers artistic ambition, commerce and the absurdities of contemporary culture.

∙ GUEST: We are delighted to welcome Yun Ko-eun, author of Art on Fire who will be in conversation with Michaela Kalowski, an interviewer, moderator and curator for writers.
