FSC SPG Workshop: Implementing Payday Super
Description
Payday Super is coming on 1 July 2026
Still working through your Payday Super implementation questions? Wondering how the ATO and your peers are approaching testing, sequencing and operational readiness?
This workshop brings together experts and practitioners from across the ecosystem, giving you the opportunity to hear what’s happening, ask questions, and learn from peers who are already deep into delivery.
With less than six months until Payday Super commences on 1 July 2026, the industry is now firmly in the build, integration and testing preparation phase.
To support this critical delivery window, FSC SPG is hosting a full-day, in-person Payday Super Industry Workshop on 24 February in Melbourne (hosted by ANZ).
This is not an awareness session. It is a practical delivery workshop focused on:
What “Day 1 ready” looks like for funds, employers and service providers
How ecosystem testing should be sequenced and coordinated
Navigating dependencies across banks, DSPs, gateways and clearing houses
Preparing operationally for Contributions V3, MVR and mandatory inbound NPP payments for contributions
Working with peers to identify delivery risks, bottlenecks and practical solutions
Building a shared Industry Readiness Plan to take back to your organisation
Confirmed speakers include:
Shane Moore (Project Director, Australian Tax Office) will share the latest implementation updates and the ATO’s approach to industry testing and readiness
Michelle Bower (CEO, Gateway Network Governance Body) will address gateway and clearing house readiness, including practical insights and learnings on testing and change management.
Jason Hunt (Executive Director, Industry & Innovation, ANZ), Sue Pearce (Senior Manager, Regulatory Change & Compliance, Aware Super) and Marnie Ryan (Head of Product Innovation & Enablement, Australian Payments Plus) will focus on the New Payments Platform (NPP), including what funds and service providers need to have in place now, practical lessons from early adopters, common implementation challenges, and the critical questions you should be asking your bank to ensure readiness at scale.
Jason Low (CEO, The Association for Payroll Specialists (TAPS) will join employers and payroll specialists to outline what employers expect from funds on Day 1 of Payday Super, including operational realities, onboarding requirements, and the practical changes needed to minimise Day 1 delivery risk.
Full program to be announced soon.
The day will be highly interactive, with mixed working groups, practical exercises and strong networking opportunities across the ecosystem.
We have removed the two-per-organisation attendance limit following feedback from members who requested greater flexibility.
We strongly encourage delivery leaders and implementation practitioners to attend.
