“IT’S ALL TOO EVIDENT THESE CREATURES HAVE SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE FAR IN ADVANCE OF OUR OWN”

SPINNINGS PLATES PRESENTS: “UFO”

Canberran alternative rock band Spinning Plates have long turned heads in the local scene with their unique, powerful sound. Their marriage of dramatic piano with heavy guitars and drums pays homage to a colourful gallery of influences, ranging from classical music through to modern metal.

The three piece invites you to join them for a night of live performance in celebration of the first single they’ve released in four years: a reimagining of the Sneaky Sound System classic “UFO”. Joining them will be some heavy friends:

Machine on a Break (CBR) - gothic pop-metal songstress weaving gripping tales of ghosts, omens, and strength found in fragility.

Spinning Cupids (SYD) - shoegaze/grungegaze/endoftheworldgaze. Very kindly stopping by to join us while they travel the east coast in support of their shattering new EP “SIRENS”.

Irukandji (CBR) - Canberra’s most exciting new punk rock band. Nothing more to say.

“DOESN’T LOOK VERY MUCH LIKE A METEOR, AT LEAST NOT THE METEORS I’VE SEEN. IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A HUGE CYLINDER."
