Event description

with Augusta Hopkins

Every Monday, 5-7 PM

9/8/25-5/18/26

Come as you are. Leave as you must.

Especially in this dark time, we need the spiritual and emotional support of Sangha. Come together in community to rest and replenish. Bring your sorrows and your joys. Together we will explore Buddhist principles to navigate this s**f.

Spiritual Friends Sangha is a growing, living, ever changing community. We gather to celebrate our joys and care for our sorrows, together, so that we may be nourished by reality and not fear it.

We are relational human beings, we need each other. We need community.

The forces of greed (lobha) aversion (dosa) and delusion (moha) are strong, in us and in the world. And some of us are feeling that truth now more than ever.

Buddha laid out a path that leads to the end of this suffering.

Let’s journey it together!

Augusta Hopkins has more than a decade of experience teaching meditation and mindfulness, coupled with almost twenty years of committed Buddhist practice. She shares Dharma that’s down to earth and very accessible. Augusta is committed to waking up through the inevitable experiences of life.

Augusta regularly immerses herself in intensive retreat practice cultivating AWARENESS to meet ALL that life brings. She draws on teachings received directly from her teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, and indirectly from Ajahn Chah & Sayadaw U Tejaniya through their disciples.
