SpondyStrong Gentle/Chair Yoga
Event description
This is a Zoom gentle/chair yoga class for people with Spondyloarthritis/AS.
This class is designed for people who would like a gentler yoga class, who have trouble getting down onto the floor, or who benefit from using a chair as support for standing and seated poses. Depending on the needs of the students present, this class will either be conducted entirely seated in a chair, seated in a chair/standing, and/or also using a mat on the floor. Poses and movements will be gentle and slow-paced, and each class will incorporate deep breathing and mindfulness/meditation. Each week's class will be adjusted according to the needs of the students present, and multiple options/modifications will always be offered. Every class will also include a brief social/check-in component!
