Velvet Vice Studio presents introductory classes for Adult beginners or dance enthusiasts, suitable for all bodies. Presented at Many Worlds Creative Space in Bega, Velvet Vice Studio are excited to bring burlesque and vintage glamour to the Sapphire Coast!

With a dozen Halloween, spooky, and classic burlesque classes on offer, there is sure to be something for everyone. Attend one class, or bundle several classes together for additional savings!

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER WORKSHOPS

1pm-2.30pm: SILK FANS WITH O NYX
Students will learn warm up techniques to prepare them for using hand fans and various techniques to follow a basic fan routine.
90 min workshop, Ages 15+, Fans provided Suitable for all levels

2.30pm-4pm: BURLESQUE 101 WITH DALLAS FOX
Students will learn the basics of burlesque and its subtle art of tease including showgirl walks, poses, arm styling and glove peeling.
90 min workshop, Ages 18+, Gloves provided but you may bring your own if preferred An excellent preliminary class

SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER CLASS SET A

1pm-2pm: GRINDHOUSE BURLESQUE WITH O NYX
A grungy, sexy, bump and grind burlesque style set to a hot and heavy rocking blues soundtrack. Unleash your Fierce Femme persona, with looks that kill, and moves that will bring your audience to their knees.
60 min class, Ages 18+, Suitable for all levels

2pm-3pm: FIND YOUR FACE WITH DALLAS FOX
Learn how to convey emotions and moods to your audience or your mirror. Find the distinctions in chosen characters and bring more feeling and sensuality to your art.
60 min class, Ages 18+, Note taking implements, Ideal for dancers, burlesquers, movement artists and theatrical performers.

3pm-4pm: NOIRLESQUE WITH O NYX
Inspired by the Vamp and Femme Fatale character tropes in Film Noir cinema, learn an alluring routine that emphasises making an unforgettable first impression, and grabs the audience’s attention.
60 min class, Ages 18+, Suitable for all levels

4pm-5pm: BEWITCHED WITH DALLAS FOX
Learn a sensual burlesque routine to beguile and tease using simple choreography to a ‘witchy’ tune.
60 min class, Ages 18+, Suitable for all levels, Bring a wide brimmed hat or witches hat

WEDNESDAY 11 OCTOBER MASTERCLASSES

7.15pm-8.15pm: WEDNESDAY ADDAMS DANCE WITH O NYX
Learn the iconic Wednesday Addams dance to Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps.
60 min masterclass, Ages 15+, Suitable for all levels

8.15pm-9.15pm: TASSEL TWIRLING WITH DALLAS FOX
Students will learn the art of a bra peel and how to twirl tassels. Please contact us with any questions you may have. Note Instructor may be using pasties if whole of class is comfortable with this.
60 min masterclass, Strictly 18+, Bras with tassels provided if preferred, Pasties may be worn, Pasties if you like (with tape or adhesive), a second bra to ‘peel’ if you prefer to keep covered, Suitable for all levels

SUNDAY 15 OCTOBER CLASS SET B

1pm-2pm: BOOTYLESQUE WITH O NYX
Explore the seductive tease of neo burlesque incorporating tease, shimmy, bump & grind with modern elements of exotic floorwork & twerk.

Inspired by Vampire and horror cinema, learn a bold, fierce, and bad to the bone routine, and create a character that is confident, unashamedly sexual, and completely in charge.

4pm-5pm: VINTAGE TEASE WITH DALLAS FOX
Students will learn a Classic vintage showgirl routine with bump skirts and arm styling.
60 min class, Ages 18+, Suitable for all levels, Bump skirts provided

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR TO EACH CLASS:
Please wear something that you can feel sexy and comfortable in. Shoes are not permitted in the studio, so please wear socks or bare feet. Bring a hand towel and water bottle.
