Spoon Carving

This class is a beginner class, with no experience needed. Using a mix of traditional carving chisels, sloyd knives and modern tools, participants will learn about timber grain structure, carving tools, chisels, knives and saws, how to carve spoons from solid timber, sanding techniques to enhance the natural grain of the timber, and finishing techniques.

This class will include lunch and afternoon tea, please notify us of any dietary requirements 

Each participant will get a set of carving chisels to take home so that they can continue with their carving.
