Sports for All - Accessible Sport Come and Try
Event description
For International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Shire in collaboration with Rebound WA, Volleyball WA and YMCA are hosting a Free Sport for All - Accessible Sport Come and Try event.
The event will focus on two sports, seated Volleyball and Wheelchair Basketball and will provide participants with an informative and inclusive look into what it's like to live with a physical disability.
As part of the event, Rebound WA's Clint Morgan will speak about how he came to be in a wheelchair and what everyday life is like for him. Participants will finish off the day with a question and answer session, no question is too big or small, be it disability or sports related.

Location: Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre, Mead Street, Byford
Ages: Adults, Seniors and Youth 12+
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.
Thanks to Developmental Disability WA and The Developmental Disability Council of Western Australia for accepting the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale's application for the The International Day of People with Disability grant. The Developmental Disability Council of Western Australia offered funds to support organisations and groups to hold inclusive community events or activities on or around International Day of People with Disability on 3 December 2022.
