Join the Sports Philanthropy Network for an evening of networking at the Yard House, Tampa, FL. Your $25 donation will give you access to network with sports business professionals, athletes, sports nonprofits, business executives, and influencers.
Attendees are encouraged to bring twin sheets, towels, washcloths, or a monetary donation to donate to The Spring of Tampa Bay, a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space and empowering services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.
Founded by four trailblazing women, the Spring began when one of the women opened a spare bedroom in her Tampa home as a safe haven for a friend who needed to escape an abusive relationship. Word quickly spread, and more women came forward needing shelter. Soon, this network of community members quickly outgrew their capacity to shelter inside their own homes, and in 1984, their first shelter was built. Today, The Spring has grown to be one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the state of Florida, with 128 beds in the emergency shelter.
