***Kindly note that this HIKE has been designed to promote fitness and will require a decent level of physical fitness to finish. We will maintain a brisk pace during this hike, completing 10 kilometres in slightly over two hours. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, this hike may not be appropriate for you. Please check our shorter distance hikes at a more moderate pace***

Join us for a stunning hike from Blairgowrie to Rye! This adventure features a mix of beach walks and cliff-top paths, with the breathtaking Bass Strait by our side the entire way. Feel the invigorating salty air as we navigate the narrow coastal track, with waves crashing below us. This hike offers an excellent cardio workout paired with great company. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

This hike is rated intermediate and is not suitable for beginners. A decent level of fitness and stamina is required. We maintain a steady pace but do stop occasionally for photos and snacks.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

- Beach walking

- Some inclines

- Uneven ground

- Exceptional views!!!

- Improved fitness

- No toilet

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact lightweight jacket - optional

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children (18+), babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
