Spring 2025 Community Planting Day

Whether you're brand new to planting trees or an experienced orchardist, come join us for a day of spring planting! It is always so joyful to plant trees in the spring ground with friends and neighbors. All ages welcome. Everyone will receive a hands-on demo, training, and personal support to ensure you go home with a good understanding of how to plant bare-root trees well in a production orchard setting.
 

• We'll have truck transportation to the tree planting area for any folks with limited mobility who would like to attend. Please reach out if you'd like to confer.
  
  
• Folks coming from farther away are welcome to camp for the night (plenty of barn and outdoor space available).
  
  
• If you’re a young farmer interested in future paid work with Breadtree, this is a great first step to meet our team and have the opportunity to work together.
   
• If you're anyone who is seriously interested in agroforestry and travel to this event is prohibitively expensive, please be in touch. We have a limited number of travel stipends available for folks who need them.
  
• We'll have chestnut biscuits and plenty of water available. Bring your own lunch!
