Spring Edible Flower Gardens Class
Event description
This afternoon class about edible flowers is a lovely way to celebrate a late winter day on the cusp of spring. It will inspire you to grow beautiful edible flowers to brighten up your garden too.
We begin the afternoon with a little drink of flower-flavoured fizzy (non- alcoholic but delicious), made by Linda, from garden blooms. You'll be tempted by a little floral canape snack to go with your fizz as we get enthused for what's to come.
You'll take a tour of our organic garden that's a colourful and fragrant oasis on 1 1/2 acres, surrounded by towering gums and birdsong.
The tour is followed by a light afternoon tea at the tables under the trees. You'll sip herbal teas made from fresh garden herbs and flowers, and a floral iced tea from the garden. The tables are set with white cloths and lovely old china and teapots. (We can accommodate vegan, gluten free or dairy free if needed and everything is vegetarian. Just make a note of it on your booking.)
After you’ve enjoyed afternoon tea, you'll have fun learning to save edible flower seed and sowing a range of little seeds in pots to take home and start our own garden of edible flowers.
Each ticket holder receives a copy of Linda's book 'A Delicious Bunch, growing and cooking with edible flowers'.
Bring a hat for the sun, and also a little shoe box or small box to take your plants home in.
And of course if you are sick or think you may have been in contact with anyone who is COVID sick, please let me know well in advance so someone else can fill your spot.
PS We are not registered for PAYPAL payments for tickets
