Spring Equinox Journey - 5Rhythms dance journey
Event description
Spring Equinox – 5Rhythm dance journey
(artwork by Shannan Trumbly www.shannatrumbly.com)
“Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.” – Rainer Maria Rilke
This is not our usual journey as Jo is holding the passing of her mother. She will be back for the Summer Solstice Journey, but I want to offer our regulars and others an opportunity to mark this transitional time of year with a 5Rhythms dance journey for the Spring Equinox.
Join Sue for a deep dance to honour the turning of the sacred wheel towards the sun! Our bodies attuned to the rhythms of nature, like a compass, it points us toward potent expression and expansion, like the urgency of the seed needing to sprout.
We Bless our seeds of intention
Sprouting the promise of fertility
A shared rebirth of the sun
When: Saturday 14th September
Time: 3pm – 5pm
Where: Temple on the Park – 158 Australia St Newtown
Cost: $30
A little about Sue Andersen:
Sue has been practicing Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms since 2008 and completed her teacher training early in 2016. She is excited to share the 5rhythms Wave map, supporting people to return again and again to their bodies, to explore and express their unique dance and to discover the freedom and aliveness that comes when we surrender our minds to our feet, to the dance.
ALL WELCOME - NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
