Event description

Only days to summer and Summer Fruit is starting to ripen.

Slow Food Melbourne invite you to a food workshop to learn more about the food around us.

Join award winning food writer Richard Cornish to learn the myriad of options for luscious tree ripened fruit. Do you have you a tree at home? Loquats ( what are they???? little oriental flavour bombs) maybe? Plums are just ready for eating and cooking. Any trees in your neighbourhood? Make friends with the neighbours if they have fruit trees and maybe more fruit than they can pick or eat! Come and learn how many ways you can use local fruit and then let's get fruit spotting ..... you will be surprised how much you have in your local 'hood.
