Event description

Join us for the magic of spring with a guided walk at Kyeema Conservation Park.

Led by the wonderful Hannah from Habitat Connections, we will wander along the trail and stop and talk about the different native flora we see along the way. We will utilise the Mulurus hike trail, which is approximately 1.5km. Whilst fairly flat, there are some undulations along the trail to be aware of. Be sure to wear your boots!

Kyeema Conservation Park is a hidden gem of the Fleurieu, neighbouring Kuitpo forest, the park has a messmate stringy bark (Eucalyptus obliqua), and pink gum (E. fasciculosa) overstorey. There have also been more than 80 species of birds observed, and although this won't be a focus of the walk, bring along your binoculars if you have a pair.

What to bring:

BYO water bottle, wear good footwear and be sure to dress appropriately, the mornings can be chilly!

There are no public toilet facilities in the park, the closet toilet stop would be the public toilets at Forestry SA headquarters on Brookman Road.

Where to meet:

Meet at the main car park on Woodgate Hill Road, approximately 2.5km along Woodgate Hill Road from Brookman Road.

About our guide:

Hannah is the founder of Habitat Connection Co. a nature-loving creative with over 12 years of experience in conservation, horticulture, and landscape design, and deeply passionate about native plants and the intricate relationships they share with local wildlife.
