Spring Medicinal Plant Walk and Walking Meditation
Event description
Treat yourself to some nature time and reconnect with the traditional knowledge of plant medicine on Sunday 10th October 1.30pm-3.30pm at Bethune’s Gully, North Dunedin.
Your guide Stephen Parker (PhD), a herbalist, wild-crafter and outdoor educator will teach you traditional uses of introduced and native plants. You will learn how to ethically and sustainably harvest wild medicinal plants, and learn techniques of walking meditation and nature therapy.
Your walk will take you on a wander up Bethunes Gully towards the summit of Mt Cargill/ Kapukataumahaka.
Meet at the Carpark. To get to Bethunes Gully...Head up North Rd, then Norwood St. Forrester Park is on the right. Further up the road, Bethunes Gully is on the left
Cost: $40 per adult and children free.
All proceeds will go towards buying a bucket of local honey and apple cider vinegar to make more medicine for the people in our community.
