Spring Music Series: Runaway Belles - EP Launch
Event description
Runaway Belles is a Tasmanian alt country / folk pop act featuring Tash Parker and Emma Anglesey. With a focus on uplifting storytelling and singing in constant harmony, Tash and Emma’s voices are almost inseparable -- even their mothers can’t tell who’s singing.
Described by Tone Deaf as “A harmony of indie-folk brilliance”, Runaway Belles are one of Tasmania’s best kept secrets. Their first single The Weekend has surpassed 150,000 Spotify streams and their follow up b-side release Don’t Forget Monday has clocked over 219,000 streams. Their single Flames also went to Number #1 on the AMRAP Regional Chart.
Runaway Belles have been invited to play festivals including MONA FOMA, A festival called Panama, Dark Mofo, Festival of Voices, Party In The Paddock and the national Woodford Planting Festival.
