2026 Quenda Count

Have you spotted a quenda lately?

The WA Gould League Quenda Count is back in 2026, and we need your help to monitor one of south-west WA's most loved native marsupials!

To learn how you can get involved, join us for a free community information session:

📅 Tuesday 15 September 2026
📍 City of Perth Library -
🕠 Doors open: 5:30pm
🕕 Workshop: 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Quendas are listed as a Priority 4 species in Western Australia, meaning ongoing monitoring is essential to help understand and protect their populations.

During the session, you'll learn how easy it is to participate in the 2026 Quenda Count. Simply choose a week in October and, over a couple of survey sessions, observe your garden, local park or nearby reserve for quendas and record what you see.

Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, nature lover, or simply curious about the wildlife in your neighbourhood, we'd love to see you at our workshop.

This October, keep an eye out for quendas, share your observations, and help protect one of south-west WA's favourite native animals. ❤️

To be involved in the Quenda Count process in October, registrations can be found at: https://www.wagouldleague.com.au/quenda-count
