Byron Community Centre Spring Raffle 2026 – Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter
   The Byron Community Centre Spring Raffle 2026 is conducted by Byron Community Centre Incorporated ABN [69627365180], 69 Jonson Street, Byron Bay NSW 2481 (the Promoter).

2. Purpose
   Proceeds from the raffle will support the Byron Volunteers Program, including volunteers across Byron Community Centre, Byron Theatre, Byron Markets and Fletcher Street Cottage.

3. Eligibility
   Entry is open to NSW residents aged 18 years and over. People directly involved in conducting the raffle, determining the winners or managing the benefiting organisation are not eligible to enter.

4. Raffle period
   The raffle opens at 9:00am on 1st September 2026 and closes at 5:00pm on 30th November 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.

5. Entry
   Entries may be purchased online or in person at Byron Community Centre Reception and selected Byron Theatre events.

Entry options are:

• 1 entry for $5

• 5 entries for $20

• 15 entries for $50

• 40 entries for $100

Each valid entry will be assigned a unique raffle number. Entrants must provide their full name, telephone number, postcode and email address. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure these details are accurate.

• Prizes

  • First prize: Two-night stay at Elements of Byron Approx $1400

  • Second prize: Spell voucher valued at $250

  • Third prize: Two 1.5-hour Byron Bathhouse vouchers  $176

The total prize pool is valued at approximately $1,826.

Prizes are subject to the individual providers’ booking conditions, availability, validity periods and any applicable blackout dates. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless expressly permitted by the prize provider. Any costs not specifically included in the prize, including travel, meals and incidental expenses, are the winner’s responsibility.

1. Prize draw
   The draw will take place at 10:00am on 1st December 2026 at Byron Community Centre, 69 Jonson Street, Byron Bay NSW 2481.

All eligible online and physical entries will be included in a consolidated entry register. Winners will be selected at random. The first valid entry drawn will receive first prize, the second will receive second prize and the third will receive third prize.

Entrants do not need to be present at the draw.

1. Winner notification
   Winners will be contacted by telephone or email within two business days of the draw. Results will also be published on the Byron Community Centre website and/or social media channels using first names only.

2. Claiming prizes
   Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and entry before receiving their prize. Prizes must be claimed within three months of the draw.

The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact each winner. If a prize remains unclaimed after three months, a redraw will take place at 10:00am on 1st March 2027 at Byron Community Centre. Any redraw winner will be contacted within two business days.

1. Changes or cancellation
   If circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control affect the fair or proper conduct of the raffle or the availability of a prize, the Promoter may modify, suspend or cancel the raffle as permitted by law. Entrants will be notified of any material change.

If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law and any required consent.

1. Privacy
   Personal information collected in connection with the raffle will be used to administer the raffle, verify entries, contact winners and meet legal and record-keeping obligations. Information will not be added to marketing lists without the entrant’s consent and will be managed in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

2. Liability
   To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for entries that are incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed or not received due to technical or other issues outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

   By purchasing an entry, entrants confirm that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
