Choose Your Own Adventure
Use the schools resources, such as figures, books and materials, to make a masterpiece your own way, while enjoying the company of other little artists and guidance of the teaching artists.Â
End of the day
The final portion of the day will be used to finish off artworks, tidy up and get ready to show off what was made to parents and carers.
Exercise Breaks & Games
We understand kids can only concentrate for so long at a time - so, every hour, we give them the chance to completely forget what they're doing, and run and play outside for twenty minutes or so. When they return, they have the option to continue what they were doing, or focus on new skills. This combination of variety, choice and rest allows kids' minds to stay fresh and engaged over long periods of time.Â
The Community Centre has a large grassy courtyard, with shady trees, where the kids can play with provided bats, balls, skipping ropes, etc, or just enjoy a snack under the shade of the trees. We will also occasionally run exercise and drama games throughout the breaks.
