Spring Singing Workshop with Shelly Brown
Celebrate the first Saturday of spring in this workshop of singing, connection and pure vocal joy at the Lismore Northern Rivers Conservatorium.
Join local singer, songwriter and choir leader Shelly Brown for an uplifting workshop inspired by world music traditions, gospel and soul. Together we'll explore the power of singing in harmony, learn practical vocal techniques, and discover the freedom of vocal improvisation in a supportive and playful space.
This workshop is all about connection, expression and the simple joy of singing together. No pressure, no perfection—just voices coming together in community.
Expect big harmonies, soulful grooves, moments of connection, and plenty of fun.
Let's make the most of the Lismore Con's exciting acoustic spaces. From stairwells to hallways, we'll play with our voices and the building's natural reverb to create music together in unexpected places.
When: 11am- 12:30pm Saturday 5th of September

There's a Raffle!
Each ticket to the Workshop Put YOU in the draw for a Raffle! What?? I love raffles. Yeah, me too.
I really wanted to feature an artist on my poster, instead of the dreaded "Thou we shall not mention -a-hem A.I. -a-hem". SO, I reached out to one of my favourite artists - Katie Alleva. She creates these beautiful cyanotypes and I just adore their Spring, blue fresh deep colours. SO - each ticket to the workshop puts you into the raffle to win an artwork. And then I thought, I cant just have one prize can I? So I asked the Legend that is Adam at Resonator Music Ballina if he wanted to help me make another prize - so, there's some Music Shop goodies to be won as well. AN THEN I WAS LIKE, RAFFLES HAVE THREE PRIZES RIGHT??? So I asked Talia, at Ruby and Frank if I could raffle one of her glorious coffee mugs. and she said Yessssssssssssssssssss How awesome is that?!?!?! I shall draw the raffle when all the workshops are done done, so, on about November 22nd, 2026.
