Enjoy a hands in the soil morning in the beautiful back field at Wild Wren Farm In The Dandenong Ranges.

Learn which seeds to sow now directly into your veggie garden, and which ones to transplant

What is the difference between open pollinated and hybrid seeds

Where to buy great seeds and the best way to store them

We will make a simple seed raising mix

Learn how to grow pea shoot micro greens and improve your soil at the same time.

How to grow great carrots

It all begins with great soil, we will build a free standing compost, bio intensive style.

This workshop requires no previous knowledge, and is set in a relaxed inclusive environment.

We will finish with a farm baked morning tea.

About Siobhan

Siobhan is horticulturist, organic farmer and educator, and has been working with all things soil, plants and design for 30 years.

Accessibility

The workshop will be held in the beautiful back field at Wild Wren Farm. It is walk in access only, down the hill and across the creek. 

Safety and what to bring

Please wear suitable walking shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event.  Please ensure that dogs and other pets are left at home.
