Welcome to the 150th Jubilee for Springfield School.
The Jubilee Committee have put together a weekend in Springfield where you have plenty of opportunites to catch up with old school friends and teachers and be a part of the official opening for the new school building. Join us in the Tawera Memorial Hall for the Jubilee Dinner & Dance on the Saturday evening.
Please order your tickets now so that we can confirm numbers for catering purposes. Ticket sales are currently open until 14 October 2022.

- If you wish to pay by bank deposit (internet banking or at the bank), please select the payment method "Invoice" when you are at the ticket checkout, and you will be sent an email with the bank account details. Once we have received your payment, your registration will be confirmed via email.

Welcome Function
Friday 28 Oct, 7 pm, Tawera Memorial Hall
To launch Springfield School’s 150th Jubilee celebrations, please join us for drinks and canapés at the Tawera Memorial Hall in Springfield. Your ticket includes a drink on arrival and canapés. A cash bar will also operate. This function is for adults (age 18+) only as it is a licensed event.
School Picnic
Saturday 29 Oct, 12:30 pm, Springfield School
Pack a picnic and a rug or comfy chair and enjoy some time back in the beautiful grounds of Springfield School. Families and children are most welcome and this is a great chance to enjoy the school environment and catch up with friends.
Springfield School Te Pou Ti Kouka Official School Building Opening
Saturday 29 Oct, 2:00 pm, Springfield School
The Springfield School Te Pou Ti Kouka Board of Trustees and the Jubilee Committee are proud to invite you to the official opening of the new school building. This will be followed by a walk-through of the building which houses the classrooms and the admin area. Complimentary tea and scones will be available after the formalities have been completed. Decade photos will be taken in the school grounds at the conclusion of afternoon tea.
150th Jubilee Dinner and Dance
Saturday 29 Oct, 6:00 pm, Tawera Memorial Hall
The 150th Jubilee Dinner and Dance will be held at the Tawera Memorial Hall and will a be a fun evening, with great food and a live band after dinner has concluded. Your MC for the evening is John Dunne. Dinner will be served to each table on platters and it's a 3 course meal. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking your tickets. A cash bar will operate and this function is for adults (age 18+) only as it is a licensed event. Tea and coffee will be available and live music will entertain you after dinner, or you have the option of catching up with friends over a cuppa in one of the hall meeting rooms.
Church Service
Sunday 30 Oct, 11:00 am, St Peters Church, Springfield
You are invited to a church service that is being held on Sunday as the final event in the jubilee celebrations.
150th Jubilee Project - Springfield School Sign Refurbishment
Donations to this project are most welcome.
As part of the rebuild landscaping design, the main school entrance is being modified to create a safer and more welcoming entrance. As part of this the school sign is being moved and updated to include the school’s gifted Māori name. Donations received will go towards the relocation and refurbishment of the sign. A plaque will be attached to identify that the sign was refurbished for the occasion of the school’s 150th Jubilee, and list the name of sponsors..
COVID-19 Policy
Based on the current Government guidelines, then we will need to be at traffic light “Orange” or "Green" to run these events. If we cannot run the event due to COVID19 restrictions, then we will postpone the event again. If you have purchased tickets and we are required to postpone the event, then your tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date. If this does not suit you, then we will happily issue you a full refund.
