Spring Picnic - Green Mountain Community School + Nature Play family gathering

🐝  Warmer days have arrived, bees are buzzing and so are we! 

Join us as we gather in the bush together to play and learn about the progress of the Green Mountain Community School initiative. 

While our young ones hear stories and engage in nature play activities, you will meet other parents and community members who have been following the progress of Green Mountain Community School and learn about our next steps. 

🌱 Together we will:

• Gather for a welcome and storytelling 
• Introduce a range of seasonal activities planned and the helpers who will guide your child playing in nature
• Invite the adults to yarn while children play nearby
• Have morning tea together (BYO snack and mug, we'll provide the tea and flower cordial)

The little ones will walk away with some bush treasures and you will leave with excitement about the project and an understanding of how you can be a part of what’s next. 

🌱 Our school will support child-led and experiential learning. Some of the activities your child may choose to engage in include:

• Weaving and felting
• Shelter building
• Clay sculpture
• Botanical sketching
• Whittling
• Story circle
• Nature art
• Mud play
• Archery
• Bush and trail games
