Got an idea for a business that needs to bring two different groups together?

Think drivers and passengers, dog walkers and pet owners, gardeners and homeowners. For First Table, it meant connecting restaurants with empty tables and diners looking for a good deal.

Come and join us for lunch with Mat Weir, founder of First Table, to hear what he's learned taking the business from a Queenstown idea to a platform operating across multiple markets.

Mat will share his experience of building a two-sided marketplace, with a focus on go-to-market (GTM) and marketplaces.

When: Wednesday, 7 October 2026

Where: First Table's new office, 50 Stanley Street, Queenstown

Limited to 12 places

Free to attend with lunch included

This is a small, informal session for people who are building something, working on an idea, or interested in what it takes to grow a business.

This event is generously sponsored by Invest South and hosted by Startup Queenstown Lakes
