Samadhi is the supreme state of liberation or bliss, which is the ultimate goal of all yoga.
Kirtan is an ancient yogic practice, combining mantra, music, meditation and heart, which can offer us a taste of this Samadhi through sound.
You don’t need any prior experience to take part. This is your personal connection to the divine through your unique voice and heart, carried by the collective energy of the group and music.
The music and mantra is followed by a relaxing sound healing, where you can lay back, rest and restore while listening to the divine conversation between the mystical sounds of the hang, etheric flute, Tibetan bowls and voice.
Sound Samadhi have been offering kirtan and sound healing since 2011. The group currently comprises Garry Luke, Jiva Berry, Geeti and Gyan and they are joined by special guests from time to time.
Sound Samadhi fuses the traditional with the contemporary and includes a variety of instruments including harmonium, guitar, Indian and western drums, manjira, flute and bass guitar. To ensure the safety of all Shanti Space and Sound Samadhi have the following protocol in place and we ask you for your support with this:
1. Please bring your own cushion and blanket.
2. Please remain 1.5 metres away from each other.
3. In the current circumstances we are asking that we contain the volume of our singing so it’s much softer than usual!
4. You are of course welcome to wear a mask if you would like to and would feel more comfortable.
5. Please wash hands before and after kirtan (or use hand sanitizer provided on reception desks.)
6. Please don’t come to the event if you have cold/cough or CV symptoms or been in any areas where cases have been reported. If in doubt go get tested.
7. We are wiping shared surfaces regularly in the public areas.
8. NAMASTAY 1.5m Away: Please don’t gather in the Reception areas but cultivate spaciousness with others.
If you have any questions please let us know.
For anyone attending ONLINE, here are some guidelines below!

3. You might like to connect your computer or phone to a portable speaker for better sound!
4. If you have any questions you can type messages in the facebook live feed.
