    Enhancing Research Impact and Building Partnerships in Southeast Asia

    The Sydney Southeast Asia Research Innovation Symposium will bring together researchers focused on Southeast Asia, to catalyse research engagement, expand upon research partnerships, develop new research strategies, and showcase the impact of the University of Sydney research in Southeast Asia. 

    Date: 12pm-5:50pm, Wednesday 6 November
    Venue: Refectory, Holme Building, University of Sydney Lead with a keynote address by Nicholas Moore, lead author of Australia’s Invested strategy, titled "What does Australia’s strategy for Southeast Asia mean for research and innovation?" 

    The programe will also include:

    • Transforming Southeast Asia through outstanding research and knowledge partnerships: SSEAC’s vision to 2030
    • Connecting Your Research in Southeast Asia
    • Research that changes lives
    • Becoming outstanding partners: Enhancing our academic engagement in Southeast Asia
    • Working in the region together: SSEAC’s Country Academic Networks
    • Introducing SSEAC’s ‘Grand challenges’ program: opportunities for University researchers
    • Funding success in Southeast Asia: Navigating the research funding landscape
    • Competative Ignition grant presentations

    Lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. The symposium will be followed by networking drinks.

    Sydney Southeast Asia Centre Postgraduate Workshop: Supporting postgraduates to develop collaborative research proposals in Southeast Asia
